What kind of cheeses does Barnabys make?

You will find delicious plant-based mozzarella, cream cheese, sour cream, feta and cheddar. We have more cheese in development yet to be revealed!

What is Barnabys cheese made from?

Barnabys cheese has a base of potato starch and coconut oil, though every cheese is a little different. You'll find the full list of ingredients for each cheese on its product page. The whole range is dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free and everyone-friendly!

Where is it made?

Barnabys products are made in Auckland, New Zealand by our friends at Alternafoods—New Zealand's only 100% plant-based food manufacturer.

How long does it take to make vegan cheese?

Barnabys cheese takes about a week from start to finish.

Where do you ship to?

Currently we ship within New Zealand & Australia and offer this to Food Service business.

How do you ship the cheese?

We use a Chilled Courier for all deliveries. Our products are always chilled. When we need to leave the package in a safe place for collection (like near the front door) we pack quality Thermal Cooling Gel in the package to keep it cool for up to 6 hours. We use Thermal Boxes as well to aid to keep our products chilled between 0-4 degrees.

How long does it take to receive my products?

We strive to dispatch our products within 2 days of ordering. Some periods, such near Christmas, might take 3-5 days to dispatch. Once dispatched, they enter a Cool Chain Supply System, so depending on where you are, you might expect to receive your cheese in these time frames from order:

VICTORIA/NSW/CANBERRA - 7-14 days

SE QUEENSLAND/NORTH QUEENSLAND 7-14 days

SOUTH AUSTRALIA/NT - 7-14 days

TASMANIA - 7-14 days

WESTERN AUSTRALIA 10-14 days

NORTH ISLAND - NEW ZEALAND - 3-5 days

SOUTH ISLAND - NEW ZEALAND - 7-10 days

 

Lots of vegan cheeses don't melt very well… Does Barnabys cheese melt?

Hell yeah!

How long does it keep?

Keep it in the fridge and it should keep for 6 months. Although chances are it'll be eaten well before it goes off! The label on the packaging will tell you the specific use-by date.
